Music theater by Alexander Charim and Michael Rauter. Based on motifs by Pier Paolo Pasolini

The edifice of our consumer and growth society is tottering. Would its collapse bury us underneath or would it only open the view to a long lost idea of freedom? Pier Paolo Pasolini pondered this question forty years ago. His film Teorema is about the ambivalence of all rules and regulations, about self-created constraints and the necessity to break out of them.

Alexander Charim made a name for himself with unusual music theater projects. In accordance with Pasolini's demand to dare the step into the unsecured, this project breaks away from the traditional guidelines of a theater evening. The intention is not to create a self-contained performance, but a walk-in theater installation of music and language that leaves room for maneuver and in which each audience member creates his or her own piece. Please remember to wear comfortable shoes.
