Kaleidoskop im Haus des Rundfunks
Layer by layer, floor by floor, Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop will fill the Haus des Rundfunks with music at rbb Kultur KUNST im BAU on September 12, 2021. For these performances, Kaleidoskop is dedicating itself to an unusual and rarely performed work of the 20th century: the composition “Aus aller Welt Stammende” by the Polish composer Zygmunt Krauze for 10 string players. With a particularly spatial staging of Krauze’s piece, we will make all floors of the staircase of the Haus des Rundfunks resonate.
The iconographic architecture of the Haus des Rundfunks will be brought to sound by Kaleidoskop with a particularly spatial staging of Krauze’s piece. The musicians will make the sound shifts of this kaleidoscopic composition a completely spatial experience on all floors of the staircase. Together with choreographer Juan Corres Benito, Kaleidoskop is developing a musical performance that plays with visibility and invisibility. The musicians will emerge and at other moments disappear into the stairwell, leaving only their reverberations. In this program, Kaleidoskop will relate short solo pieces from different epochs and styles as interventions to the ensemble piece “Aus aller Welt Stammende” by Krauze.
